Sherrone Moore was wielding knife after firing, says dispatch audio obtained by TMZ

Sherrone Moore was allegedly “suicidal” and wielding a knife shortly after he was fired as Michigan head football coach Wednesday, according to dispatch and police audio obtained by TMZ.com.
The audio clip, published Thursday afternoon by TMZ and obtained from Broadcastify.com, was under a minute, and included multiple dispatch and police clips that were spliced together.
The Detroit News has requested the dispatch audio through the Freedom of Information Act.
Moore remained in the Washtenaw County jail Thursday, awaiting a decision on charges by Washtenaw County prosecutors. Police said Thursday he is expected to appear in court and be arraigned Friday in Ann Arbor.
Pittsfield Township police didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from The News on Thursday about the dispatch and police audio clips obtained and published by TMZ.
Police from Saline, Pittsfield Township and the University of Michigan responded to the 3000 block of Ann Arbor Saline Road shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, less than an hour before Moore’s firing was publicly announced by Michigan over an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
A Michigan football staff member’s listed address matches the vicinity of the location to which police were dispatched.
In the TMZ audio, dispatchers and police discuss taking complaint calls from at least two people, including Moore’s wife, who according to the audio told dispatchers that Moore was “suicidal … for losing his job today.”
In the TMZ audio, some of which is bleeped out, another person was referenced, one who said Moore has “been stalking her for months.” That person, according to the audio, said Moore “walked in with a knife.”
Moore, 39, is married with three young children and resides in Ann Arbor.
Moore was fired after two seasons as Michigan’s head coach and eight years on the staff. Michigan fired him for cause. He had three years left on his contract that was to pay him more than $6 million a year.
