One of the best wide receivers in football is prepared to get a huge payday this offseason.

Per NFL insider Ian Rappaport, Los Angeles Rams superstar Puka Nacua is eligible for an extension this offseason and is a “major priority” for Les Snead and Sean McVay to lock down for the foreseeable future.

In his third year in the NFL, the former fifth-round draft pick has ascended up the ranks to become one of the top wideouts in all of football. With his power, blocking ability, and assured hands, the Rams offense uses him as an engine in almost every personnel grouping and formation.

Nacua is coming off one of the best weeks of his career against the Arizona Cardinals, receiving the highest single-game grade ever given out by Pro Football Focus for a wide receiver. He also had his first multi-touchdown game of his career, as he continues to rack up the accolades before this summer’s probable payday.

When looking at his contemporaries, expect Nacua’s deal to land anywhere from $34 million to breaking Ja’Marr Chase‘s wideout record of 40.2$ million. Only 24, Nacua appears to be set to be one of the faces of the Rams franchise for the next decade as they look to lock down a playoff spot today with a win over the Detroit Lions at home.
