The New Orleans Saints have secured the season sweep of the Carolina Panthers.

Panthers safety Lathan Ransom is called for an unnecessary roughness penalty on Shough with 12 second remaining. That set up a 47-yard field goal from Saints kicker Charlie Smyth to give New Orleans a 20-17 lead with two seconds remaining,
Shough and the Saints march downfield for a seven-play, 78-yard touchdown drive to tie the game. Wideout Chris Olave beats cornerback Jaycee Horn on a 12-yard catch in the end zone.
The game is knotted at 17 apiece with 2:29 remaining.
Carolina’s defense holds on a fourth-and-1, as linebacker Christian Rozeboom sacks quarterback Tyler Shough before the line to gain.
The Panthers, up 17-10 with 6:53 left in the game, take over from their own 23-yard line.
New Orleans, with some help from a little dirty laundry, got down to Carolina’s 14-yard line. But back-to-back sacks—thanks to defensive lineman Bobby Brown III and outside linebacker Nic Scourton and D.J. Wonnum—kept the Saints to a 42-yard field goal.

The game is tied at 7-7 with 3:32 left in the first half.
After forcing a three-and-out on the Saints’ opening touch, the Panthers put together a 13-play, 74-yard drive to the end zone. The possession is punctuated by a 4-yard touchdown rush from running back Rico Dowdle.
Carolina leads 7-0 with 6:39 left in the first quarter.
