Uber passenger killed in crash involving suspect fleeing arrest in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — An Uber passenger was killed and the driver was injured after a crash involving a suspect who was fleeing arrest, Philadelphia police say.
That suspect fled on foot and is now at large.
The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of 9th Street and Girard Avenue in North Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office says they were attempting to serve a warrant for domestic assault to Joseph Cini, 35, on the 900 block of North Watts Street when Cini fled the scene in a Nissan Maxima.
Cini was traveling eastbound on Girard Avenue when he collided with a red Jeep Patriot, being driven by a 51-year-old male Uber driver.
The impact sent the Uber driver to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
A 63-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Uber, died at the scene.
Following the crash, investigators say Cini fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on 8th Street.
