Riley Green Confirms Acting Debut in TV Show [Exclusive]

For months, Riley Green has been subtly hinting that his next chapter might unfold not on stage, but on screen. And no, we’re not just talking about another music video.

We recently caught up with the country superstar to talk about his whirlwind year and his partnership with HEYDUDE, and during the conversation, he finally made it official: Green confirmed that his acting debut is coming soon, giving fans their first real taste of what’s next beyond the music.

While specific details remain under wraps, the Alabama native shared just enough to get people talking. “I need to actually sit down and talk to somebody about what I’m allowed to say… I’ll just guess I’m allowed to say that I have done some acting, and it’s a show, and it’s going to be airing sometime fairly soon.”

Making the leap from performing on stage to acting on set proved surprisingly natural for Green, who admitted he barely had time to get nervous thanks to his hectic tour schedule. 

“It helped a lot that I knew some of the other people in the show and on set. Everybody was really great to work with and it’s not always like that from what little bit of film stuff I’ve done, which is music videos and commercials and things like that,” he explained. “It really helps a lot when you feel comfortable there. And I did as soon as I got on set, and I think a little bit, it just happened so fast that I didn’t really have time to get nervous and so I was just kind of, the scene was done and I was like, ‘okay, well I guess it was all right.’ They didn’t yell at me or yell ‘cut’ or anything, but it was a lot of fun.”

Between flying out for shows and jumping straight into scenes, he found the experience challenging but rewarding.

“It was a little tough because of the travel, because I was still playing shows every weekend and flying out and flying back and flying out. So that was the tough part about it. But as far as actually on set acting and kind of being there and getting into that head space, I felt like it came sort of natural to me.”

While fans eagerly await the official announcement of Riley Green’s acting debut, they won’t have to wait long to catch him on stage. The Alabama native is hitting the road in 2026 for his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, with dates planned across North America and beyond. For this trek, Green is shaking things up with fresh production elements.

“We’ve added some production. We added a B stage, which is something I’ve never done,” he revealed. “And as far as the stage setting and lighting and all that, we’ve added some things. I think it’s always going to be a duck blind-ish kind of feel on stage. That’s kind of what it feels really on brand for me and certainly where I feel comfortable.”
