Strictly spoiler: Fans spot major clue this year’s winner has been decided – ‘It’s pretty obvious’
We’re just days away from the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 final when we’ll find out who this year’s winner is. Still in the running to lift the glitterball trophy is Love Island’s Amber Davies and her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, YouTuber George Clarke and Alexis Warr, and former footballer Karen Carney and Carlos Gu.
While we’ll have to wait until Saturday night’s live show for the winner to be revealed, fans of the BBC One dancing show think they’ve already worked out who the 202 champ will be, after spotting a major clue.
Following the semi-final – which saw EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal and her dance partner Julian Caillon leave the competition after a tense dance-off – fans took to Reddit to discuss the final three, with many agreeing that George Clarke is the “obvious” winner of this year’s series due to his huge following, which could translate into votes.

“George has more than 3 million followers across his socials. It’s game over,” one wrote
“I think it’s pretty obvious from the past few weeks that Amber hasn’t got a hope in hell of winning. I think George has the bigger, more engaged, fan base so it will likely be him,” another said.
“I think it will be George, but I’m rooting for Karen personally,” a third added.
George boasts a huge online presence, with 840,000 Instagram followers, over two million on TikTok, 95,000 on X(formerly Twitter) , and 639,000 YouTube subscribers – nearly four million in total.
Meanwhile Amber has around 1.8 million followers combined across Instagram (1.3m), TikTok (224k), X (347k), and YouTube (8,100).

Karen trails behind with 194,000 followers on Instagram and 23,000 on TikTok, and no presence on X or YouTube.
However, one viewer noted that a large social media following doesn’t always guarantee a win, referencing YouTuber Joe Sugg, who finished runner-up to TV presenter Stacey Dooley in 2018 despite his huge fan base – his channel ThatcherJoe once had over eight million subscribers.
“I was sure Joe Sugg would win back in 2018 because of his fan base. It feels like George will win, but I could also see Karen taking it,” the user wrote.
Only time will tell who lifts the trophy. Either way, it sounds like viewers are in for an exciting finale.
The Strictly Come Dancing 2025 final airs on BBC One on Saturday 20th December at 7pm.
