Trio of Wildcats Named to Philly Soccer Super XI

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Soccer Six announced its end of season awards and Top XI on Wednesday afternoon following a vote by the league coaches. Patrick Cayelli of Penn was selected as the Player of the Year. The Defensive Player of the Year honor went to Oliver Pratt from Penn with teammate Phillip Falcon III selected as the Goalkeeper of the Year. Jack Shannon of Drexel was the Rookie of the Year.

Cayelli (Anderson, S.C. / T.L. Hanna) was a five-time Soccer Six Player of the Week, including the final three weeks of the season. He led the Ivy League in points (26) and assists (8) and was tied for first in goals (9). He never went more than three games this season without recording a point.

Pratt (Miami, Fla. / Gulliver Prep) started al 17 games for the Quakers and led a back line that allowed just 12 goals in 17 matches. He also added three goals and four assists for 10 points.

Falcon (Tampa, Fla. / Jesuit) posted a 7-3-2 mark and had a 0.58 goals against average, ranking second in the Ivy League. He recorded seven clean sheets for the season and was the Goalkeeper of the Week twice.

Shannon (Houston, Texas / Kingwood) was named Third Team All-CAA and was also selected to the conference All-Rookie Team. He started 14 matches and was named to the Top Drawer Midseason Freshman Top 100.
