Netflix has greenlit a sequel to the 1990s sitcom “A Different World.”

According to Deadline, four original cast members will reunite for a new 10-episode series set at the historically Black college Hillman.

Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer, and Darryl M. Bell will reprise their roles as Whitley Gilbert, Dwayne Wayne, Freddie Brooks, and Ron Johnson on a recurring basis.

This latest installment ordered on the streamer will follow Deborah Wayne, the youngest daughter of Dwayne and Whitley, as she navigates her freshman year at her parents’ alma mater.

Tony winner Maleah Joi Moon will star as Deborah, who is described as a free-spirited and rebellious student trying to build her own legacy, per the outlet.

The cast will also feature Alijah Kai as Rashida, Chibuikem Uche as Kojo, Cornell Young IV as Shaquille, Jordan Aaron Hall as Amir, and newcomer Kennedi Reece as Hazel.

“These beloved characters are returning in a major way that respects their history while engaging exciting storylines that are relevant to issues of today,” showrunner Felicia Pride and executive producer Debbie Allen said in a joint statement. Allen served as a producer and director for the original series.

Pride and Allen also promised additional cast surprises for longtime fans as the season unfolds.

“A Different World” aired on NBC for six seasons from 1987 to 1993. It began as a spinoff of “The Cosby Show” and focused on Denise Huxtable, played by Lisa Bonet, but shifted focus after its first season to an ensemble cast centered on Whitley and Dwayne.

Several writers from the original series, including Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood, will also return as executive producers.
