Legendary director slams Trump with 8-word takedown — ‘you can quote that’

“Avatar” director James Cameron has choice words for President Donald Trump.
The legendary Hollywood director sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the release of his newest film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”
During the interview, he called Trump the “most narcissistic [expletive] in history since [expletive] Nero.”
“Yeah, you can quote that,” he continued.
This is not the first time that Cameron has voiced his disapproval for the president. Earlier this year, Cameron made an appearance on the New Zealand podcast “The [Expletive] News” and said Trump’s reelection was “horrifying.”
“I see a turn away from everything decent,” Cameron said. “America doesn’t stand for anything if it doesn’t stand for what it has historically stood for. It becomes a hollow idea, and I think they’re hollowing it out as fast as they can for their own benefit.”
He also said news coverage about Trump was “like watching a car crash over and over and over.”
Speaking to The Hollywood reporter this week, he said, “I’m frustrated because the human race seems to be delusional about what they think is going to happen next. We are going backwards.”
He added that he finds solace in films like Avatar, saying, “but who’s to say we wouldn’t be going backwards even faster if it wasn’t for these films?”
Cameron’s newest film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” is in theaters Friday.
