So, let’s ring in 2026 with Chicago’s favorite mesmerizing light display. The New Year’s Eve fireworks will illuminate the Chicago skyline and lakefront with a breathtaking show.

Where are the fireworks in Chicago for New Year’s Eve 2026?
Official fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve will take place along the Chicago River downtown and at Navy Pier.
The iconic 300-foot-long pier on the shoreline of Lake Michigan will host its annual fireworks show over the lakefront.
Along the river, just before midnight, the Art on the Mart projection display will transform into a backdrop for the 2026 countdown as fireworks are launched from bridges along the Chicago River during a five-minute show.
The fireworks will be visible along the Chicago River on Wacker Drive from Wells/Orleans streets to Columbus Drive. What time are the New Year’s Eve fireworks?
On December 31st, the NYE fireworks at Navy Pier and the Chicago River will occur at 11:59 PM.
Does it cost money?
Both NYE fireworks shows are free.
