‘Remember that sequence when they take the QB next April’: What social media said after Browns lose to Bills

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Despite showing fight and having a chance to win late, the Browns came up short at home in a 23-20 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 157 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. The Browns also lost rookie running back Quinshon Judkins to a season-ending injury.
It was another good day for rookie Harold Fannin Jr., who accounted for both of the Browns’ touchdowns, catching one from Sanders on the opening drive and then rushing for one in the third quarter.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen did not record a touchdown, but running back James Cook had two TDs on the ground and the Bills rushed for 164 yards.
Myles Garrett also got a half sack of Allen, bringing him closer to the single-season sack record with two games to go. He has 22 and the record is 22.5.
Here is what social media said about the game as the Browns fell to 3-12.
“That was a December football game that I never seriously thought they could win despite the Bills sleepwalking thru most of the game. We shall call it, ‘The Half-Sack Game,‘” Anthony Lima of 92.3 The Fan posted.
“When the broadcast team announces they will not be showing the Judkins replay you know it was a bad injury. That really sucks for the Browns and their talented rookie‚” WOIO-TV’s Mark Schwab posted.
“Mason Graham stole Myles Garrett’s record setting sack,” former Ohio State cornerback Chimdi Chekwa posted with a laughing emoji.
“Shedeur had a real chance to put a drive together, and in turn, push the Browns back in the draft order. It ended on 4th and 32. Remember that sequence when they take the QB next April…” ESPN Cleveland’s Aaron Goldhammer posted.
“Stefanski hasn’t lost the locker room. Take that for what you want… I know you will,” Jared Mueller of Dawgs by Nature posted.
“Man, that Judkins injury looked awful. Somehow his foot planted at the exact wrong time for that angle of contact and it all just went,” YouTube analyst Brett Kollmann posted.
“Please be ok Quinshon Judkins,” Browns fan McNeil posted.
“Love Judkins’ game. Hate to see him get carted off. Prayers to the Browns back,” Ryan Talbot, who covers the Bills for Syracuse.com, posted.
“Prayers up for Quinshon,” musician Mekka Don posted.
“Shedeur Sanders is NOT the answer,” Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh posted.
“I know it doesn’t matter, but really want to know what the bot says about whether the Browns should have went for it 4th-and-32 from their own 1,” Dan Hanzus of the Heed the Call podcast posted.
“Genuinely curious what the Browns record would be with adequate special teams. Don’t think they’d be good, but don’t think it’d be this, either,” Danny Cunningham of 92.3 The Fan and Locked On Cavs posted.
“Kevin Stefanski’s ability to neuter the big play abilities of quarterbacks should be studied,” Nick Wilson of 92.3 The Fan posted.
“You thought the Browns were going to get through a half without a special teams error?” Cleveland media personality Nick Pedone posted.
“Myles Garrett getting awarded half a sack for that Josh Allen/Mason Graham play is a fitting tribute to Michael Strahan’s record,” Sam Monson of the Check the Mic podcast posted.
“I’m fine letting Shedeur finish this out
But there is no way he should deter the Browns from taking a QB,” BigPlay host Matt Fontana posted.
“The Browns’ stadium is filled with Bills fans and the radio broadcast is scoreboard watching for draft position. We are home,” Awful Announcing’s Ben Axelrod posted.
