‘Anaconda’, ‘Marty Supreme’ among films to release on Christmas Day

Looking for something to do on Christmas Day?
After checking out Santa’s surprises and enjoying family time, you might start wondering what else is on the agenda. How about catching a movie? Yes, theaters are open on Christmas Day.
Here is what is opening on Christmas Day, from comedies to dramas.
Anaconda
Funny men Jack Black and Paul Rudd star in this meta-reboot of the 1997 film, “Anaconda”. It’s an action comedy that will bring plenty of laughs as the duo tries to remake their favorite movie in the jungle. Think campy fun.
Marty Supreme
“Marty Supreme” is a sports drama loosely based on the real-life story of a ping pong legend. The underdog-to-icon story stars Timothée Chalamet as Marty Mauser. The film stars an eclectic cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, businessman Kevin O’Leary, film director Abel Ferrara and rapper Tyler, the Creator. The movie promises heartwarming moments in its motivational speeches and a few tear-jerking moments, according to movie reviews.
Song Sung Blue
“Song Sung Blue” is a film about two struggling musicians, played by Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, who find love and healing through their art. Lightning and Thunder are a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act, a good Christmas date movie if you want to cry to indie music.
