WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) — Police in Wilmington have arrested a man in connection with an assault that turned deadly on Christmas Eve.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of North Lincoln Street.
The victim, a 68-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.
Police say 50-year-old Dario Griner was found inside the victim’s residence and taken into custody. He is charged with murder and weapons offenses.
Further details about what led to the assault have not been released.
Griner is being held on $563,000 cash-only bail.
