LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A suspect is in custody after pushing down a Washington State Patrol lieutenant and stealing her patrol vehicle Thursday morning.
At around 11:45 a.m., WSP said the lieutenant responded to a report of a pedestrian running across the freeway near Northgate in Seattle.
When the lieutenant approached, the person shoved her to the ground, hopped into the driver’s seat, and stole her vehicle.
Troopers pursued the vehicle until they completed what appeared to be a PIT maneuver to halt the chase on southbound I-5 in Lynnwood.
WSP Trooper Rick Johnson said no one was injured.
