Norwich City striker Jovon Makama scored for the fourth time in three games to give his side a Championship win at home to Charlton Athletic.
Makama struck the post early on as the hosts looked comfortable in a goalless first period.
But the 21-year-old, filling in for Josh Sargent while the United States forward recovers from concussion, deservedly broke the deadlock when he blasted in from 12 yards out.
The win continued Norwich’s resurgence under new boss Philippe Clement – they have lost only once in their past seven games and are now just a point from safety.
City’s third successive home victory – having previously lost seven in a row at Carrow Road – meant Charlton remained in 17th place.
