Now the Eagles are looking to make a statement when they visit AFC big guns the Buffalo Bills and they are worthy of support as underdogs for the first time since their championship success.
The Bills kept their AFC East hopes alive by beating divisional rivals the New England Patriots two weeks ago, but they failed to cover a double-figure handicap when edging past the struggling Cleveland Browns 23-20 last week. That took their winning run to four games, though, and they appear to have put a 3-4 mid-season spell behind them.
The Eagles have not conceded more than 24 points in any of their last nine games, while the Bills have given up 30 or more in four of their last six outings.
The Bills are 6-1 at home but they won’t face many tougher challenges than the champions, who look the better value bet.
