Bengals Dolphins Postgame Recap | Stats, Notes and Quotes

With his defense sweeping the boards on a slew of three-and-outs, quarterback Joe Burrow again went All-State Ohio point guard Sunday at Paycor Stadium when he dished 305 yards to nine different receivers that included a 21-yarder to 345-pound offensive lineman Cody Ford in a 37-14 victory over the Cardinals.

Burrow sliced up Arizona in less than three quarters, earning an early seat for the second straight week after leading the Bengals to their most points in two straight games during head coach Zac Taylor’s tenure.

Seven days after Burrow hit 78% of his passes in the 45-21 win in Miami, he went for 81% on 24 of 31. Running back Chase Brown chipped in with his third 100-yard rushing day (101) of the season on 22 carries and bulled for two touchdowns.

Edge Myles Murphy led the defense with another sack to go with six tackles, and cornerback Dax Hill was all over the field as the Bengals held quarterback Jacoby Brissett to nearly less than 50% passing.

The Bengals never blinked all day in building a 23-7 halftime lead when Chase Brown ripped off 107 scrimmage yards, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase scored his first two touchdowns in more than two months, Evan McPherson drilled a 57-yard field goal, and the defense sent the Cardinals scurrying off the field on four three-and-outs.

Burrow, off the Bengals’ best road passer rating ever last week in Miami with a 146.5, popped up a 136.7 in the first half on a radar 16 of 20 for 176 yards and those two touchdowns to Chase.

With the Bengals leading 13-7, Chase Brown rescued the offense from back-to-back sacks when he took a third-and-22 flip from Burrow for 15 yards to put McPherson in range for that 57-yarder. McPherson converted his 12th straight field goal attempt to boost the lead to 16-7 with 3:21 left in the first half.
