Obituary for Gary “Squeak” E. Egan

Gary “Squeak” E. Egan, age 77 of Clintonville passed away Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2025 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
Gary Edward Egan was born on February 25, 1948 in Clintonville as the son of the late Edward and Nina (Donaldson) Egan. Gary, affectionately known as Squeak around town, graduated from Clintonville High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Upon his return from service he began work at Seagrave FWD in town. After a number of years he then became employed at Sturms in Manawa. Squeak was a lifelong resident of Clintonville and as a socialite spent a lot of his time at local taverns in town visiting with friends and shooting pool. He was a past president of the pool league, loved to golf, and when he was younger he enjoyed playing softball for his parents bar in town. Squeak became a big fan of the Cincinnati Bengals over the years and proudly wore their team coat around town. He will be remembered as everyone’s friend, the life of the party, and for his iconic smile.
Survivors include: His children: Carrie Wait and Ed (Jamie) Egan.
6 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
A Sister-in-law: Cindy Egan.
A Brother-in-law: Tom Perkins.
And 3 Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Nina Egan, a brother Timothy Egan, a sister Peggy Perkins, and by a nephew Patrick Egan.
Per Squeak’s request no formal services will be held at this time. His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation in Clintonville for all of their care over the past years during his stay.
