B&M is offering a £20 lamp that arguably rivals a £40 version from Dunelm. Known to many as a go-to spot for budget-conscious shoppers, B&M could be selling a new ‘must-have’ homeware item.
The discount retailer has introduced a Large Paper Rope Lamp, which could impress fans of Dunelm’s Kylo Woven String Table Lamp. B&M’s £20 lamp is offered with a ‘trendy’ rattan base and a cream lamp shade. Dunelm’s £40 lamp is also available with a rattan base, along with a patterned cream lamp shade.
Since the lamp shades aren’t identical, shoppers may find themselves favouring one design over the other. The dappled pattern on the Dunelm shade sets it apart from its more affordable counterpart.
There’s also a subtle distinction in the base shapes. While both are circular, the Dunelm version narrows towards the bottom, according to the Mirror.
Despite these differences, the overall designs share considerable similarities, meaning customers drawn to either style might well appreciate the ‘lookalike’. For those watching their pennies, B&M’s could be attractive. At half the price of the Dunelm alternative, it offers a more affordable option.
