Vermont state offices closed due to icy conditions

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – State offices in Vermont are closed on Monday because of icy conditions, with state employees working from home due to extremely hazardous road conditions.
Essential personnel, including public safety and transportation crews, as well as congregate care facility staff, are still working in-person.
State officials said several roads were extremely hazardous Monday morning, including parts of interstates and other state roads. They said VTrans crews were out and making progress on the roads, but advised drivers to use extreme caution.
They also warned Vermonters of possible power outages due to the ice and wind.
