Tasnim Jara has resigned from her post as senior joint secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP).
She confirmed her decision to The Daily Star this evening.
Earlier, through a post on her verified Facebook page, Jara announced that she would contest the upcoming national parliamentary election as an independent candidate from the Dhaka-9 constituency.
NCP Joint Member Secretary and Media Cell Member Mushfiqus Salehin told The Daily Star around 7:30pm that Tasnim Jara submitted her resignation letter to NCP’s convener Nahid Islam.
