Netflix’s newest reality series, Members Only: Palm Beach, offers a peek into the lives of the ultra-wealthy in Florida’s most elite neighborhood.
The eight-episode series centers around five main characters, each at varying rungs of the town’s social ladder, from relative newcomer Ro-mina Ustayev to seasoned socialite Hilary Musser.
Wellness expert Taja Abitbol bluntly puts it on the show: “If Palm Bach society were a high-rise building, Hilary and I are definitely in the penthouses, and Ro-mina’s in the basement.”
While not part of the primary cast, ‘Grande Dame’ Gale Brophy emerges as one of the series’ standout personalities. The veteran of Palm Beach’s social scene appears throughout the series as a mentor to philanthropist Rosalyn Yellin.

In addition to providing her protégé with guidance on navigating the often ruthless world of the super-rich, she also unofficially crowns her the new ‘queen’ of the island, presenting her with an actual baton and crown, much to the bewilderment of the other cast members, reports the Mirror.
She also entertains the cast with fascinating tales about her life and career, sparking rumors about her authenticity which she promptly quashes by distributing copies of her extensive resume and bringing a pile of magazine articles about herself to a party.
So who is this captivating new reality TV personality? And how did she find herself mingling with the rich and famous?
Today, she serves as the CEO and proprietor of a real estate enterprise, overseeing two luxury five-star properties marketed as an upscale alternative to The Hamptons. Both venues are situated in New York State’s Catskill mountains and cater to sizeable gatherings.

Previously, she occupied executive roles across several profitable ventures spanning finance, public relations, and particularly the equestrian industry. Gale spent decades involved in thoroughbred horse breeding and co-owned Strike the Gold, the 1991 Kentucky Derby champion. According to her resume, she also oversaw two multimillion-dollar equine facilities.
During a 2019 radio appearance, Gale reminisced about MC Hammer’s attempts to purchase her champion racehorse, which she declined. She recalled: “MC Hammer was trying to buy the horse. And kept offering money, and I was like you’re not buying this horse. This horse is going to win the Kentucky Derby.”
Her expertise and talent for identifying champions played a crucial role in her success, though her contributions beyond the racetrack also garnered significant admiration.
According to The Global Billionaire, Gale has dedicated herself to various charitable causes including horse welfare, children’s healthcare, and women’s empowerment. She can now include reality television personality among her expanding list of accomplishments.
