Trail Blazers vs. Thunder: Live updates, highlights for Wednesday’s game

The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. This will be the fourth matchup of the season between the two squads. OKC has won two of the previous three games. Last time, OKC went to Portland to get a win on Nov. 30.
The Thunder (28-5) avoided an upset with a 140-129 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had an efficient 39 points and six assists as OKC’s league-best defense continues to see some recent leakage.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers (14-19) escaped with a 125-122 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Deni Avdija had a near 27-point triple-double. Considering the first batch of All-Star votes, he could be a first-time member this season.

You have to like the Thunder’s defensive process. They’re forcing turnovers again. And even though Portland is 6-of-7 from 3, the shooting luck should eventually cool off. Meanwhile, Gilgeous-Alexander already has nine points and five assists.
Mitchell straight-up bullies Love for the turnover. Gets the transition layup. Really good start for OKC’s defense.
The Thunder will start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cason Wallace, Lu Dort, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren. The Trail Blazers will start Shaedon Sharpe, Sidy Cissoko, Deni Avdija, Toumani Camara and Donovan Clingan.
