Emmerdale’s Georgia Jay left the ITV soap earlier this year to go on maternity leave as her character travelled to Rome

Emmerdale star Georgia Jay has confirmed the birth of her baby daughter and shared her beautiful name.
The 33-year-old actress arrived on the ITV soap in November 2024 as Steph Miligan, the estranged daughter of Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash).
It wasn’t long before Steph found herself in the middle of a harrowing family secret as her trusted grandfather, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), was exposed as her biological father following her sexual abuse of his own daughter, Ruby.
The revelation sent Steph’s mental health into crisis as she struggled to accept the truth. She even pictured Anthony in her own reflection and failed to share her worries with her parents.

Steph devastatingly tried to get plastic surgery to alter her look in a desperate bid to put the vision of Anthony out of her life, though her grandad had been murdered by this point.
After weeks of soul-searching and a failed relationship with Ross Barton (Mike Parr), Steph booked a ticket to Rome and announced she was going travelling and would be back in the future.
Away from the ITV soap, the actress who plays Steph, Georgia Jay, went on maternity leave.
On New Year’s Eve, Georgia took to Instagram to confirm she had given birth in June 2025 and has named her daughter Nora.

Sharing the first photo with her daughter, Georgia can be seen hugging her baby in a sweet embrace. The soap star captioned the image: “Nora (rose emoji) June 2025 (camera emoji) @anyavtilden.”
Georgia’s Emmerdale co-stars have shared the well-wishes, with Beth Cordingly writing: “You are perfect and so is she. Love you x”, while Vanessa star Michelle Hardwick stated: “Gorgeous”.
Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, added: “Yay congrats gorgeous.”
Georgia shared her pregnancy news in June, the month she gave birth, with a stunning pregnancy photo on Instagram, after Emmerdale viewers noticed the actress’s baby bump on-screen.

She wrote in the caption: “As you’ve probably guessed, I’ve got some news to share! I know some of you have been wondering if you’ve been seeing a little bump on screen lately.”
She continued to confirm the happy rumours, expressing: “Well, it’s not your imagination… I’m having a baby! We’ve never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support.”
