Stranger Things Star Caleb McLaughlin’s Player Is Not Afraid To Face His Opponent In New Look At GOAT [Exclusive]

Stranger Things stars Caleb McLaughlin, known for his role as Lucas Sinclair, and David Harbour, who plays Hopper in Netflix’s sci-fi series, will be reuniting in Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming film titled GOAT.

In a ScreenRant exclusive, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has shared a never-before-seen image of the action-comedy set in an all-animal world. McLaughlin’s character, Will, is the protagonist, and he’s a small goat, but with big dreams to join the pros and play the highly dangerous sport, Roarball.

GOAT is coming to theaters on February 13 and is produced and starring professional basketball player Stephen Curry. The official synopsis is:

The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.

Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

The director Tyree Dillihay, known for Bob’s Burgers, is teaming up with Adam Rosette, who has credits in films such as The Wild Robot, Dog Man, and The Bad Guys. The film also has a star-studded cast, including Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, Gabrielle Union, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll, and Jennifer Hudson.

McLaughlin is currently wrapping up his press tour as the final episode of Stranger Things is set to debut on Netflix on December 31. The series became a global phenomenon upon its release in 2016 and was created by Matt and Ross Duffer. McLaughlin, alongside Harbour and co, are awaiting reactions to the final episode, as they say goodbye to the sci-fi and focus on new projects.
