Holly Ramsay Wore Elie Saab – And Her Mum Tana’s ’90s Wedding Dress – On Her Big Day In Bath

Aside from walking his daughter down the aisle, the acclaimed chef has naturally assumed the task of overseeing the wedding breakfast at Kin House. “Dad has been extremely involved in the food,” the bride confirms with a smile, adding that he’s worked with his team at London’s Savoy Grill to design the menu. While the father-of-the-bride will cast his famously exacting eye over the traditional beef Wellington and wine pairings, the snacks circulating at the after-party “is where I come in”, Holly says. “So it’s spicy vodka pasta, fries… I’m very excited about that part, too.”
Adam got down on one knee in September 2024, during a holiday in Crete. They’ve been a couple for two and a half years, but have been talking about marriage since “literally our first date”, Holly says. “I kind of knew it was coming. I didn’t know for sure it would be on that holiday… but the fact he brought a backpack to dinner kind of gave it away.” In the end, the groom kept the ring stashed away at the bustling restaurant (“a public proposal is both of our biggest fears”), and popped the question when they were by the pool back at their villa, instead. “It was perfect,” Holly says now. “Just us two.”
With just weeks to go ahead of the big day when we speak, the bride is bubbling over with anticipation. “We’re being very traditional in the sense that we’re not staying together the night before, so that moment when I first see Adam, just before I walk down the aisle with Dad… I think that’s the bit I’m most excited for.” Holly, who will be carrying a bouquet of white ranunculus by London florist Rob Van Helden, will be flanked by two maids of honour on the day, her sisters Megan and Tilly, as well as her bridesmaid, Adam’s sister, Bethany. The bridal party is being dressed by longtime family friend Victoria Beckham. “They are all wearing a VB dress in red – and they all look incredible,” says the bride.
The groom will turn 31 the day after the wedding, and after a hungover brunch in the morning for partied-out guests (a backless Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini dress for the new Mrs Ramsay Peaty), the family will stay on at Kin House for an intimate birthday dinner, Holly says. “Then it’s my birthday two days after that!” After an even more celebratory than usual festive season, the newlyweds will no doubt be in need of a rest by January. “We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents. I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool…”
