Napoli’s clash with Lazio in Serie A ended with three men sent-off after a mass brawl between the two teams.
The reigning Italian top-flight champions, Napoli, met Lazio on Sunday afternoon at Stadio Olimpico and claimed a 2-0 win in the fixture.
Former Manchester United star Scott McTominay starred for Napoli, once again. However, this time he did not get on the score-sheet to add to his tally of five goals so far this season.
Leonardo Spinazzola and Amir Rrahmani scored the goals for Napoli to secure the three points for Antonio Conte’s side. There was also high drama in the closing minutes of the contest.

Indeed, there was a brawl between players from both clubs, which began after a flashpoint between Lazio defender Adam Marusic and Napoli full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi, who made an appearance from the bench.
Marusic and Mazzocchi both began pushing each other while Lazio were in possession, with the game eventually stopped by referee Davide Massa, who had to intervene after a brawl began between players and staff from both teams. When the situation calmed down, Massa went on to hand out red cards to both Marusic and Mazzocchi.
Earlier in the game, meanwhile, Lazio star Tijjani Noslin was also shown a red card after picking up two bookings. The latter of which came in the 81st minute.

As a result, Lazio not only went on to lose the game 2-0, but also finished up with just nine players after having Marusic and Noslin sent off. United loanee Rasmus Hojlund started the match for Napoli – but was subbed in the 86th minute to be replaced by Noa Lang.
The win for Napoli leaves McTominay, Hojlund and Co. in second place in the Serie A table and one point behind leaders AC Milan. They have won the Scudetto twice in three years.
Napoli’s next match will see them host Verona in Serie A on Thursday evening.
Lazio are, meanwhile, ninth in the table and will face Fiorentina on Wednesday night.
Recent weeks have seen speculation swirl that United could have an interest in re-signing McTominay after his impressive season with Napoli. Hojlund, meanwhile, is spending the season on loan with the Serie A giants, and there are suggestions that he could move to Italy on a permanent deal next summer.
