Three kinds of Tesco Pates have been found to feature an incorrect use by date.
This means the products may pose a microbiological risk, making them unsafe to eat.
The affected batches include the Tesco Coarse Farmhouse Pate, the Tesco Coarse Ardennes Pate, and the Tesco Smooth Chicken Liver Pate, all of which are available for £1.50 each.
All 170 gram packets of the above pates labelled with the use by date 5 January 2026 have officially been recalled.

Tesco will display point of sale notices in all retail stores that are selling these products.
These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
If you have bought any of the above products, both Tesco and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) advise against consumption.
Instead, return the pate packet to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
And for further information, please refer to the contact page on the Tesco website.
The supermarket chain has assured customers that “no other Tesco products are affected by this recall”.
Tesco went on to apologise “for any inconvenience caused”.
