The Masked Singer UK 2026: Everything you need to know about the new series

There’s a brand new twist in store for the first two shows – which will see a band take to the stage for the very first time.

On Saturday 3 January, Goldfish and the No Trout band will perform, while on Sunday 4 January, Emperor Penguin and the Antarctic Funkeys will headline the show.

This means there will be four unmaskings across The Masked Singer double weekend.

Host Joel Dommett explained: “At the start of the first two episodes we have a live band. We’ve never done it before and it just gives it so much energy in the room.

“Also the lead singer of the band is someone we have to guess.”

Last year the show was won by Pufferfish – who was revealed to be musical theatre star Samantha Barks.

Previous winners of The Masked Singer also include Charlie Simpson from the band Busted, singer Natalie Imbruglia, singer Joss Stone and Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts.

Will the judges be able to work out who is behind the mask this time? We’ll have to wait and see.
