Susanna Reid ushered in a new era for Good Morning Britain today (January 5) as the show was broadcast from a brand new studio. The ITV show is now filmed at ITN headquarters after it relocated from Television Centre in West London.

The 55-year-old broadcaster was joined by Ed Balls on today’s show as they delivered the main news stories of the day. The two started the show by reacting to their new home as Susanna said: “It looks almost exactly the same, but it does feel different. And we’re in a different place.”

Ed agreed as he said: “It feels kind of the same” Susanna also took to Instagram to share snaps from the new studio as she said: “GOOD MORNING BRITAIN! From our NEW studio.”

The change has come amid huge schedule shake ups to ITV as This Morning and Lorraine have also moved to new homes. There have also been changes to the soaps as Coronation Street has been reduced to 30 minutes episode and will be broadcast each night as part of a “soap power hour” with Emmerdale.

Susanna bid farewell to the old studio and departing colleagues in a heartfelt post issued last week. She said: ” A fabulous gathering of the BEST team in television @gmb and a farewell to those off to new adventures. Amazing photo by @peter_searle.

“I’ll be back in January in our new home. Goodbye to those leaving and a huge thank you to everyone who has made – and those who continue to make – GMB such a fantastic programme – and to Television Centre for being our home for the past few years.

“Fittingly we reached a record #OneMillionMinutes total thanks to you – our amazing viewers – and a boost from the spaceman himself @samhairwolfryder”

Viewers took to social media during today’s episode to react to the new studio space. @thespark said: “Good luck in your new studio @GMB feels strange watching the graphic has changed at start with the words live from ITV news.”

@TheTVRoom posted: “Good Morning Britain #GMB is now broadcasting live from its new studio at ITN. A smaller studio than the programme has been used to at Television Centre, and some tweaks to the titles/logo, but it all looks very familiar.”

Susanna was shocked during today’s episode when she interivewed Jack P Shepherd about the Corriedale crossover that airs tonight at 8pm on ITV.

Corriedale arrives on screens at 8pm and ITV has promised a dramatic hour that will change the landscape of both Corrie and Emmerdale. Fans have been eagerly speculating which characters may be killed off.

Jack was interviewed on Good Morning Britain with Chris Bisson as they teased what is about to come in the episode.

GMB hosts Susanna and Ed gasped when Jack seemingly confirmed his legendary 25 year stint on the soap was going to come to an end later.

Confirming deaths in the episode, he said: “People go and my number has come up. I’ve done 25 years. It would have been great to see the rest of 2026. But sadly tonight is the end. Have I given too much away there?

“I have, haven’t I?” A shocked Susanna probed as she said: “Is that true?” The hosts breathed a sigh of relief when Jack confirmed he was joking, as Susanna said: “I could feel ITV bosses breathing down the back of our necks”

The build up for tonight’s big episode starts at 7pm when half hour episodes of both soaps will be broadcast before the main event crossover starts at 8pm.
