Kings F Perry designated non-roster playing status

The Los Angeles Kings announced Wednesday that Corey Perry has been designated non-roster playing status.

No further details were released.

The 40-year-old winger has nine goals and 21 points in 35 games with the Kings after joining the team on a one-year, $2 million deal in free agency.

Perry had 19 goals and 30 points in 81 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season, adding 10 goals and 14 points in 22 playoff games.

A veteran of 1,427 career games, Perry has 457 goals and 956 points.

The Kings announced that forwards Andre Lee and Taylor Ward have been recalled from the Ontario Reign on an emergency basis.
