The Gunners extended their lead at the top of the Premier League over Manchester City to six points.

Pep Guardiola’s side dropped points with draws against Sunderland and then Chelsea.

Arsenal, meanwhile, backed up their 4-1 win over Aston Villa at the end of December by kicking off 2026 with a 3-2 victory at Bournemouth.

It all means Mikel Arteta’s men sit six points clear of City and Villa at the top of the table with 18 games to go.

And the trusty supercomputer reckons the gap is only going to get bigger come the end of the season.

Aceodds’ data machine, BETSiE, crunched the numbers to predict the rest of the season.

And it has Arsenal finishing NINE points clear of City.

Bukayo Saka and Co are tipped to win 26 games, draw seven and lose five times to finish on 85 points.

That would see the Gunners lose another three times by May, as their only defeats so far have come away against Liverpool and Villa.

Arsenal – who host Liverpool and Manchester United this month – still have to go to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Etihad in the second half of the campaign.

The supercomputer has Villa to finish third on 67, one clear of Liverpool who are currently fourth.

Then it is as we are currently with Chelsea in fifth on 63 with United sixth on 60.

The two teams are under the microscope at the moment following Enzo Maresca’s shock exit on New Year’s Day and Ruben Amorim’s sacking at Old Trafford.

Newcastle take seventh in the projected final table ahead of Brentford while rivals Brighton and Crystal Palace complete the top half, both on 53 points.

Tottenham must settle for a second season in the bottom half – although 11th is a significant improvement on 17th in 2024-25.

After their early-season form, Sunderland must settle for 13th while fellow promoted side Leeds also beat the drop, finishing 16th, just ahead of Nottingham Forest.

Fulham, Everton and Bournemouth are safe, too.

But it is bad news for West Ham who are predicted to finish 18th on 33 points and eight off Forest.

They get relegated with Burnley – 19th on 27 – and Wolves, who unsurprisingly take the wooden spoon with 25 points.

That is despite the Molineux club only picking up their first win of the season on Saturday to take their tally to six points after more than half of the season.
