Warriors vs. Bucks injury report: Gary Payton II questionable, Draymond Green probable

The Golden State Warriors begin an eight-game homestand tonight, when they host the Milwaukee Bucks. Needless to say, it’s a critical eight-game stretch that could define what the team does at the trade deadline … and how they fare for the rest of the season.

It’s been a disappointing year for both the Warriors (19-18) and the Bucks (16-20), but on the bright side, both teams are fairly healthy at the moment — no sure thing for these two squads. Here’s the full injury report.

Out — Seth Curry (left sciatic nerve irritation)

Same old, same old for Seth. He’s still only played two games as a Warrior. Though he was phenomenal in one of those games!

Questionable — Gary Payton II (left ankle sprain)

Payton has been playing a bigger role lately, and has often been the backup to Draymond Green as the four on defense … impressive, given his height (or lack thereof). If he’s able to play today, don’t be surprised to see him defending Giannis Antetokounmpo on a few occasions.

Probable — Draymond Green (left ankle sprain)

For a brief moment, it looked like Green might have to miss a significant chunk of time given how much pain he was in when crashing into the bench on Monday. Thankfully, it seems he’s fine.

Out — Taurean Prince (neck surgery)

Prince played in just eight games this season (his 10th in the association) before having surgery on his neck to repair a herniated disc. That’s serious business, and he doesn’t have a timetable for a return. Hopefully he can make a full recovery and get back on the court this year or next.

And that’s the injury report! It’s sparse, thankfully. Enjoy the game, Dub Nation. It tips off at 7:00 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area.
