‘Tangled’ Star Milo Manheim Is Following in Mom Camryn Manheim’s Footsteps

Milo Manheim is taking the next big step in his career.
The “Zombies” star will be portraying Flynn Rider in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of “Tangled.”
In light of the amazing news, Manheim’s mother and Golden Globe winner Camryn Manheim took to Instagram to say she’s proud of her son.
“So…this just happened,” she said. “There is no one on this planet who could play Flynn Rider better than you, Milo. Too proud for words.”
Manheim debuted as a Disney Channel star, having led the “Zombies” musical film franchise since it premiered in 2018. Since then, he’s played Ryan Baker in “Thanksgiving,” Wally Clark in “School Spirits” and Seymour in the off-Broadway revival of “Little Shop of Horrors,” opposite Elizabeth Gillies. Not to mention, he’s also a talented dancer. Manheim finished in second place on Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Before he was famous in his own right, Milo was raised by Camryn Manheim, whose known for playing Lt. Kate Dixon in “Law & Order,” Kristina in “Happiness” and Nina in “An Unfinished Life.”
What Milo Manheim Has Said About His Mom
In 2001, Camryn Manheim welcomed Milo Manheim, who is her only child, into the world. She welcomed Milo via sperm donation from her friend Jeffrey Brezovar, per People.

“She’s a single mom. I’m an only child. I spent the first 18 years of my life with her every day,” Milo Manheim told People in a 2024 interview. “What makes our connection so special is that we’re both willing to put in the work and that we have spent so many years actively working on our relationship…. We make each other better, bottom line.”
Milo Manheim and his mother have a close relationship. He added that he and his mom tend to bond over their shared love for acting.
“I grew up on set with my mom and I love the fact that we can have deep conversations about the craft of acting. It’s one of the things that really connects us, one of our deepest passions,” he said.
In a 2020 People interview, he revealed what his mom taught him about acting: Be courteous to everyone on set.
“When I did ‘Zombies’ and ‘Zombies 2,’ I always folded my clothes when I was done because if I don’t do it, someone else is going to do it,” he said.
In that same interview, Camryn Manheim shared her perspective on her son’s rise to fame.
“One day he’s a snot-nosed middle schooler and then the next day, boom!” she said at the time.
