Lily Allen, Connor Storrie, Gracie Abrams, and Tessa Thompson Got Heart-Eyed At Chanel’s Coco Crush Celebration

On Wednesday evening, guests checked in to the Chateau Marmont for a one-of-a-kind staycation hosted by Chanel. The dinner party highlighted the forthcoming Coco Crush campaign, fronted by Gracie Abrams, Mona Tougaard, and Jennie Kim, and shot at the very same West Hollywood landmark.
Abrams, the house’s newly-appointed Fine Jewelry ambassador, was feeling fine indeed. “I feel like music and fashion are both really reflective of where you’re at, at any given period in your life. That’s why I value what feels most timeless and classic—I feel so good in this outfit and these jewelry pieces tonight. I’ll still want to wear this 40 years from now, despite it being very reflective of me in this moment too.”
Upon arrival, guests—who included Keri Russell, Dakota Fanning, Maggie Rogers, PinkPantheress, and St. Vincent—were greeted by a vintage car featuring a CH4NEL license plate parked outside. To enter the fete, check-in via the front desk mimicked that of an actual hotel stay. Once they collected their room keys, it was off to explore. In one suite, they could engrave their newly-acquired keys to the Chateau Marmont kingdom, in another, they could have a moment with a numerologist to hear what’s in store for 2026 and beyond. For a pre-dinner buzz, a gigantic tower of Champagne coupes took over an entire corner of another room, while elsewhere, a DJ was holding court in an area that was kitted out with trippy red lights.
The seated dinner transformed the lobby with long, elegant tables, where friends old and new gathered to enjoy shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, Branzino, and rib eye steak. As Abrams took her seat next to Gabriette, fellow it girl Devon Lee Carlson popped over to say hello. As for the star of the show? None other than Connor Storrie, the breakthrough talent of TV show Heated Rivalry fame. The Texan actor was veritably mobbed by guests of the bash coming over to say hi and request a selfie.
As dinner plates were cleared to make way for dessert, Hedda actress Tessa Thompson tapped into the microphone to get the crowd’s attention. “This room is the perfect opportunity to have a ‘coco crush’ on someone,” she cooed. “In fact, I slid into someone’s DMs this year, because I had a crush on her after listening to her record from front to back. And that person is Lily Allen.”
Feeling the love, the British chart-topper delivered a surprise set—also giving those in attendance a world-premiere of three tracks, as well as Madeline which she recently performed on Saturday Night Live. It wasn’t long before the whole room was singing along to the songs from Allen’s phenomenally successful album West End Girl. “Luckily these aren’t real life experiences…and they definitely didn’t happen in this hotel,” she winked, before introducing the music. Afterwards, she brought the house down with a warranted standing ovation.
Ten years after it was first introduced, the new Coco Crush collection reimagines house codes with the introduction of a choker, short necklace, two-tone earrings, pavé bracelets, and a sculptural cuff, among others. Bringing it to life, the ‘Hide & Seek’ film campaign featuring Abrams, Kim, and Tougaard is out now.
