PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – Pine Belt schools are taking necessary precautions due to severe weather in the area.
Here is a list of early closures and dismissals in the area.
Lamar County
Lamar County Schools: Early dismissal by one hour
Note that all LCS after-school activities are cancelled as well.
Lamar Christian School: Early dismissal at 1:00 p.m.
Marion County
Marion County School District: Early dismissal at 1:00 p.m.
Forrest County
William Carey University: Closing early at 2:00 p.m.
Jefferson Davis County
Jefferson Davis County School District: Early dismissal at 2:00 p.m.
The Jefferson Davis County basketball game at McLaurin High School has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 15.
Covington County
No dismissals at this time.
Perry County
No dismissals at this time.
Wayne County
No dismissals at this time.
Jasper County
No dismissals at this time.
