PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) — Police are investigating a serious north suburban crash on Saturday morning.

Park Ridge police said the crash, which involved a pedestrian, happened near Cumberland and Peterson around 6:20 a.m.

Police asked the public to avoid the area and requested that any witnesses call them at 847-318-5252.

What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
