Snubbed? Buffalo Bills running back led the NFL in rushing but just got passed over for major honor

James Cook led the league in rushing in 2025, but that wasn’t enough for the Buffalo Bills running back to land on the AP’s first-team All-Pro list.

Instead, Cook was named to the second-team behind Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.

Cook, 26, rushed for 1,621 yards and 12 touchdowns on 309 carries (5.2 YPC). He added another 291 yards and two touchdowns on 33 receptions. Although Cook led the league in rushing, Robinson finished with 2,298 total yards in 2025 (1478 rushing, 820 rushing).

While Cook was named a second-team All-Pro, his teammate in the running back room, Ray Davis, earned a first-team nod as a kick returner.

Davis came out of nowhere in his second season to become one of the best kick returners in the league. He had 31 returns this season for 943 yards and one touchdown (30.4 YPR). The second-year pro led the league in kick return yard average and touchdowns in 2025.
