Woman seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle near Blackstone and Ashlan Avenue, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A woman has been injured after being hit by a vehicle near Blackstone and Ashlan Avenues Saturday evening, Fresno Police say.
Officers responded to a call involving a woman in her 20s lying in the road.
Medics arrived and provided the woman first aid. She was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
According to Fresno PD, the victim was involved in a conflict on the northwest corner of Ashlan and Blackstone. She then ran across the street at which point she was hit by the vehicle.
Police tell Action News the driver stayed on the scene.
The area is closed while detectives continue to investigate.
