18 dogs, puppies seized in Ford Heights, Illinois drug bust at Lincoln Highway and Deer Creek Lane: Cook County Sheriff’s Office

FORD HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) — Investigators shared pictures of eighteen dogs and puppies they recovered in a drug bust in the south suburbs.

They also seized several weapons, cash and drugs in the Ford Heights bust.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office says some of the dogs were in cramped cages.

They were found when authorities executed a search warrant at Lincoln Highway and Deer Creek Lane.

Two men are in custody and facing charges.

The dogs are now at Cook County Animal Care and Control.
