New date confirmed for anniversary celebrations

We’re pleased to confirm that our 150th anniversary celebrations will now take place on Saturday 24th January, when we take on Exeter City, in what will also be Jon Brady’s first home league game in charge of the club.

Following the postponement of our original anniversary fixture on Sunday 4th January against Barnsley, our celebrations will now take place later in the month, with all planned activity moving to the Exeter fixture.

We were formed 150 years ago this month, in January 1876, and with a new manager at the helm, there’s plenty to look forward to when the Grecians come to town in just under a fortnight.

A number of former players will be in attendance and there’s plenty planned both inside the fanzone and stadium, including performances from Audley Brass Band. There will be a special 68-page publication on sale, and a free commemorative decorative scarf for all home supporters in attendance, plus much more!

Tickets for the game are available online – so let’s pack the Park and celebrate this incredible milestone together!

A new date for the postponed Barnsley game will be confirmed in due course.
