As for Shepard, his nomination is extra special. Not only is this his first Golden Globe nomination, but it’s also the first time that Best Podcast is being recognized as a category. Shepard is nominated for his podcast Armchair Expert alongside co-host Monica Padman and is up against other podcast heavy hitters, including Alex Cooper, the host of Call Her Daddy, Amy Poehler, the host of Good Hang, and Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, hosts of SmartLess.

Shepard and Bell turned heads on the red carpet in 2025 as well. Shepard wore a classic black tuxedo with a white button up and black patterned tie, dressed down with black shades and black and white checkered Vans.

Meanwhile, Bell opted for a two piece moment — pairing a strapless rose gold beaded Ashi Studio bustier with a matching floor-length skirt. Her hair was pulled back in a slick, low bun, and she completed the look with REZA jewelry.

The couple’s appearance comes just days after Cher appeared on Shepard’s Armchair Expert and dropped a few awkward moments with the hosts. Cher did not mince words when speaking with the actor.

“Who would be your dream partner for her? Cause I know you think she could be better, and I don’t disagree,” Shepard asked Cher of his wife, Bell, who appeared during the episode.

While Cher didn’t have another person in mind for the Nobody Wants This star, she noted, “The truth is, I trust her. So you must have something that I don’t see.”

The singer and actress first met when they worked on Burlesque together in 2010. Bell and Shepard were engaged at the time.
