In this article, we’re breaking down everything currently known about Deadpool’s abilities, how he’s expected to function in matches, and what kind of hero players should be ready for once Season 6 goes live.
We will update this article once the official details have been announced regarding Deadpool’s complete ability set.
Who Is Deadpool in Marvel Rivals?
Deadpool is Wade Wilson, the Merc with a Mouth who somehow talks even more than he shoots. He’s known for his healing factor, his love of blades and guns, and the way he breaks the fourth wall like it’s a door that says “push.”
In Marvel Rivals, NetEase has already teased the basics of his loadout: double katanas and double pistols. That pretty clearly points to a damage-focused playstyle, most likely the Duelist role, even if the game hasn’t dropped his full kit details yet.

Marvel Rivals: Deadpool Abilities and Stats
NetEase has confirmed that Deadpool in Marvel Rivals has a role-swapping mechanic. Deadpool isn’t locked into one playstyle. He’s officially classified as a Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist, all in one. Players can pick their preferred role at the start of a match and even swap roles mid-game when returning to their team’s spawn. This makes him the first fully multi-role hero in Marvel Rivals, capable of adapting to almost any team setup.
Deadpool Ability Set (Duelist)
- Primary Weapon: Dual Pistol
- Deadpool’s pistols are expected to serve as his main damage tool at mid-range. Fast firing, flexible, and perfect for constant pressure rather than burst damage.
- Secondary Weapon: Twin Katanas
- At close range, Deadpool switches to his blades. These are likely tied to quick slashes, combo attacks, and mobility-focused plays that reward aggressive positioning.
- Passive Ability: Healing Factor
- This is the core of Deadpool’s identity. His passive is expected to grant slow health regeneration when out of combat or after securing eliminations. It won’t make him unkillable, but it should let skilled players stay in fights longer without constant support.
- Ability 1: Mobility Slash
- A fast dash or lunge that lets Deadpool close gaps or escape danger. This fits his Duelist role and helps him stick to priority targets.
- Ability 2: Explosive Disruption
- Several sources point toward a small explosive or thrown device. The goal here is not massive damage, but forcing enemies out of cover or breaking tight formations.
- Ultimate Ability: Maximum Effort
- Deadpool’s ultimate is rumored to push his damage and survivability to the limit for a short time. Expect faster attacks, stronger hits, and possibly enhanced healing while it’s active.
If this kit holds up, Deadpool is designed to reward constant movement, smart timing, and players who enjoy controlled chaos rather than careful setup.
