India mainstay storms back to No.1 in Men’s Batters Rankings

Kohli continues to be in a purple patch since the 50-over series in Australia, with scores of 74 no*,* 135, 102, 65 no and 93 in his last five outings.

The 37-year-old is back on top of the batting rankings for the first time since July 2021 after his knock helped India successfully overhaul New Zealand’s total of 300 in Vadodara.

He had gained the top ranking for the first time in October 2013 and it is his 11th different spell in the top spot. As of today, he has been top for a total of 825 days – 10th most by any player, and the most by any Indian.
