Sony’s ‘GOAT’ Prepares for Game Time with Dozens of New Character Posters

The animal all-stars of Sony Pictures Animation’s GOAT are ready to stampede into theaters next month, introducing moviegoers to the fast-paced, fur-flying world or roarball. Today, we got a veritable Noah’s Ark of character posters showcasing the diverse anthropomorphic creatures inhabiting this original animated sports adventure adventure.
GOAT arrive exclusively in theaters on February 13.
Synopsis: From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters, comes GOAT, an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world.
The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball — a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”
GOAT is directed by Tyree Dillihay (Bob’s Burgers, Good Times) and co-directed by Adam Rosette (story artist on Dog Man, The Wild Robot, The Bad Guys), from a screenplay by Aaron Buchsbaum & Teddy Riley — inspired by the book Funky Dunks by Chris Tougas. Producers are Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Rodney Rothman, Adam Rosenberg, Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton. Executive producers are Rick Mischel and Fonda Snyder.
