Northeast Ohio snow totals: Up to 2 inches reported

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio was in the grip of a winter storm Wednesday night that could result in significant amounts of snow for some areas.
Snow totals released late Wednesday night by the National Weather Service show some suburbs in Cuyahoga County and much of Lake County appear to be getting the brunt of the storm so far.
The snow was falling fast enough Wednesday night that the city of Cleveland issued a parking ban from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. A news release from the city says stopping, standing, and parking of vehicles will be restricted and prohibited on city streets with posted red and white signs.
Strongsville on the West Side and Cleveland Heights on the East Side each had 2 inches of snow as of 7:30 p.m., according to NWS spotters. In Lake County, Mentor-on-the-Lake had 2 inches as of 9 p.m. and Concord Township had 1.8 inches.
