Contaminated perfumes are urgently recalled in UK over BANNED ingredient that ‘can damage your fertility’
TWO designer perfumes have been recalled due to posing a significant chemical risk.
The fragrances were found to contain an ingredient that is prohibited over harmful health effects.

The fragrances contain the banned ingredient BMHCA, which can damage human fertility
Hello by Lionel Richie and Hot by United Colours of Benetton Fragrances, both sold by Savers Health and Beauty, have been recalled.
The products contain the banned ingredient butylphenyl methylpropional (BMHCA), which poses a risk of damaging human fertility.
According to the recall notice, BMHCA, which is prohibited in cosmetic products, may harm the reproductive system, may harm the health of an unborn child, and may cause skin sensitisation.
Customers are advised to return any of the products listed below to their local Savers store, where they will be issued a full refund.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards said: “Only products purchased in Savers Health and Beauty stores with the barcodes listed are affected by this recall.
“If you are unsure if you have one of the above products, please contact Savers Health and Beauty on [email protected].”
