Luka Dončić excelled during the Los Angeles Lakers’ matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena.
Dončić started off strong with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting in the first quarter and ended up crossing the 30-point threshold for the 23rd time this season.
Fans called for him to earn more MVP consideration during the contest.
While the Lakers entered Thursday’s action with a 1-3 record in their prior four games, Dončić has remained stellar offensively.
Prior to the clash with Charlotte, he averaged a league-leading 33.4 points to go along with 8.8 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game. Dončić also shot 46.4 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point territory.
With another efficient night against the Hornets, the 26-year-old is on his way towards earning his sixth All-Star nod.
