Tens of thousands of people were unable to access the social media site X on Friday, according to a third-party outage-tracking website.
Nearly 5,700 people reported issues with the site and app formerly known as Twitter, according to DownDetector.ca. The U.S. version of the site noted 51,000 outage reports.
The sites noted spikes in reports at around 10 a.m. EST.
Shortly before 11 a.m., the international site showed 58,504 outage reports, while total reports in Canada had increased to 6,500.
