My Creighton vs. Providence predictions believe the Friars are getting way too much credit from oddsmakers ahead of their home date with the Bluejays, sitting as just 1.5-point underdogs.

Creighton vs Providence best bet: Creighton moneyline (-115)
The Providence Friars currently lead the Big East in scoring at 88.7 points per game, which ranks inside the Top 40 in the country, so there is some appeal for bettors there.
However, Providence owns the worst scoring defense in the conference, allowing 85.1 points per game. No other team even clears 78 points. They may also be without leading scorer Jason Edwards (foot).
The Creighton Bluejays come in with wins in six of their last eight, including an 86-83 OT thriller over Georgetown last time out.
The Bluejays are in the mix at the top of the Big East, looking up only at UConn, Villanova, and St. John’s. While they have played just two ranked teams, losing to both Gonzaga and Iowa State, Creighton has played the 13th-toughest strength of schedule, according to KenPom.
The Bluejays ranks Top 6 in the Big East in both scoring offense and defense. After going 1-7-0 against the spread in their previous eight games against Providence, Creighton has won two straight and covered in both.

Austin Swartz is playing his best ball of the year. The Miami transfer scored a season-high 33 in the win over Georgetown.
He’s led the team in scoring in three of the last four games, scoring at least 18 points in four of his last six.
Jaylin Sellers’ 24 points led the team in scoring last time out against Villanova, but that was the first time in five games he topped 16 points.

Jasen Green’s rebounding numbers have fallen off a cliff, as he’s pulled down just two boards in each of his last two games. After playing 21 minutes — his lowest total since the first two games of the year — look for his production to stay low on Friday.
